Прав е Вано,на снимки едно куче може да изглежда перфектно,а всъщност да не е и обратно.
На снимките на мен ми изглежда добре, навярно е младо куче.
Не се е облякло още както трябва,според мен.

To answer the first question should clarify what that means security of the flock.
For me means a suspension of wild predators to damage (loss of animals).
Does not mean fight with predators.
Therefore, the amount is not essential.
Almost no real dog able to encounter a bear or a wolf.
The strength of the dogs in the collaboration.
For me the minimum size and weight are those in which the dog has the necessary confidence to do their work.

Shepherds experience proves that this is not a very large size.Not sda however, and many small dogs.
Optimal size for me is located between the lower limit of the standard of karakachan dog and its environment.
Of course we must not forget that talk about our geographical conditions.

Starter, I  am a bit confused with your answer.
Now, the KK dogs are working dogs and suppose to guard their flock from predators,other dogs or humans.So they have to be pretty powerful and big to be able to go for any threat -like the German shepherd.(Mine are a bit bigger than GS).Of course their strength is being  in a pack, but in some cases, I am pretty sure that even a single dominant type will get into a fight with anything to protect its flock or master.

what make KK a shepherd dog is its courage against predators like wolves and bears... team working and intelligence are the key to succes for the flock guarding dogs... the size is just a link in the chain but not so important... its important to draw attentiont that bigger and heavier dogs are not so usefull in our mountains (so say shepherds)...

and do you think that KK is a small dog?

Although the definitions vary regarding  dog sizes; it is generally accepted that dogs weighing up to 11,3 kg are small dogs., dogs weighing up to 22,6 kg are medium and large-sized dogs specifications widely differ.

Now,  the official standard for kk says:

Ръст:  Мъжки: 63 – 75 см.
         Женски: 60 – 69 см

Тегло:  Мъжки: 40 – 55 кг.
           Женски: 30 – 45 кг.

So, using common sense kk should be regarded as large sized dog, won't it?!
